Discovering
the Pearl of the Moselle in Luxembourg
On Saturday 8
July, Francorchamps Motors Luxembourg was delighted to invite its customers on
a special and unique tour. For a day, 10 crews joined us for a trip to the
heart of Luxembourg's most beautiful landscapes, to discover 'The Pearl of the
Moselle' and the vineyards of Remich. The trip took on a gastronomic and
culinary dimension. The participants had the chance to have lunch at the home
of Léa Linster, Luxembourg chef and the first woman in the world to win the
prestigious "Bocuse d'Or" gastronomic competition. Léa shared her
know-how, her experience and the excellence of her cuisine with us in a
convivial and privileged moment. All in an idyllic place on the heights of
Remich, with a view over the entire Moselle valley.
During the
250-kilometre trip, our customers passed some of Luxembourg's most emblematic
locations, starting with the castle of Useldange, built in the 1100s. The
journey then continued along the shores of the Sûre, alongside the German
border. A few kilometres further on, we continued our tour in Germany by
reaching Saarburg, the "little Venice on the banks of the Saar", to
discover its surrounding countryside.
The vineyard
roads became more and more distinct as our convoy approached Remich "the
Pearl of the Moselle" and its vineyards. So it was time to stop off at Léa
Linster's house. After this culinary interlude and a most memorable experience,
our group hit the road again, passing through vineyards and valleys, in
breathtaking landscapes. At the end of the day, our Ferraristi were able to
admire the Grand-Château d'Ansembourg, opened in 1639, the last stage of our
Rallye "Discovering the Pearl of the Moselle" before the final
arrival at the dealership.
